What To Do After A Break Up

10:52 AM

It’s not always easy figuring out what to do after a break up. It is not uncommon for your mind to have several different ideas regarding this problem. Perhaps you should call your ex and try and work things out, or maybe you should swear off dating forever and concentrate on your career and traveling the world. You might even consider getting a makeover, moving, taking a new job, or doing any number of things that you may or may not regret once the sting of breaking up has passed. If you’re unsure what to do after a break up, you are not alone.

Buy All New Bedding

If you want to know what to do after a break up, try throwing out your sheets and buying a new set. Not only will you feel much better about the look of your master bedroom, you will also get rid of the smell of his aftershave or the smell of the lotion she used that you can still smell every time you lie in your bed. Getting rid of something so intimate that reminds you so much of him/her will help you move on after a break up

Allow Yourself to Have a Pity-Party For a Few Minutes

Give yourself one hour or one day to have a self-destructive pity-party. This is one of those things you just have to do to say a proper farewell to a major part of your life. However, you don’t want to spend too much time doing this or you will only make yourself miserable. Wallow in your self-pity, eat too much ice cream, and cry too many tears. Tomorrow, wake up and move on.

Delete Your Ex

If you really want to know what to do after a break up, go straight to your computer. Delete him or her from your social media friends list, stop following him on other social media pages, and get rid of any photos of the two of you. If you are seeing pictures of him every day, it will make it harder for you to get over him. If you can see what he’s up to by his social media photos and statuses, it will also make it harder for you to get over him. Delete him. However, you might want to leave his name in your phone so you know not to answer if he calls. Or better yet, change his name on his contact phone number to, “Do Not Answer,” so you just know not to answer when this appears.

Figuring out what to do after a break up is tough for anyone, but you can figure out what to do and still maintain your happiness.
